Hours of Operation
Shows are produced in Old Mill Park at 2pm on weekends and Labor Day from mid-August to mid-September.About Us
Visit the Curtain Theatre website for details on summer productions in Old Mill Park.
The Curtain theatre is a non-profit organization originally formed by Mill Valley arts producer John Leonard, set designer Steve Coleman, and artistic director Mikel Clifford. The opening production of Shakespeare's "As You Like It" was staged in summer 2000 to celebrate Mill Valley's centennial. With sponsorship from Mill Valley Arts Commission, the Outdoor Arts Club, Parks and Recreation, and generous community donors, the Curtain Theatre's non-profit board continues to produce free summer Shakespeare and classical drama in the city's beautiful Old Mill Park Amphitheater.
The park shows are staged by a band of volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering on some aspect of production (house, set building, costuming, backstage tech, front of house) drop Michele Delattre a line at info@curtaintheatre.org
Auditions are held every spring and information is available in February on the website. Join our mailing list at https://www.curtaintheatre.org/contact
